Optimizing Construction Financing for Promitto Ltd. An in depth case study.

About the client

Promitto is a corporation with a distinctive aim to boost and support individuals to achieve their dreams of home ownership through provision of Construction Financing at competitive interest rates and provision of full construction services.

Problem Statement

Promitto Ltd, a leading real estate company in Kenya, sought a dynamic online platform to enhance its property sales and mortgage loan services. The challenge included creating an interactive website, a member sign-up portal for online mortgage applications, a project management dashboard, and an online payment gateway for registration fees

The Solution

The website design incorporated an inviting interface for property listings, while the member portal allowed users to sign up, apply for mortgage loans, and track their applications. A project management dashboard was implemented for clients to oversee the progress of their property projects and monitor loan repayments. The online payment gateway ensured a secure and streamlined process for registration fees.

Research

Using Google Forms to gather quantitative data on user preferences, behaviours, I was able to assess pain points related to construction financing and home ownership. The respondents were 10 in total.

The Findings

Website Experience
  • 78% of participants expressed dissatisfaction with the outdated design and visual appeal of the website, citing it as a significant barrier to engaging with Promitto Ltd.
  • 65% of participants reported difficulties in navigating the website, particularly in finding relevant information about construction financing and home ownership.

Payment Process

  • 82% of participants highlighted the absence of a payment portal as a major inconvenience, with many expressing frustration at the inability to make online transactions securely.
  • 71% of participants emphasized the importance of having a user-friendly payment portal, citing it as a crucial factor in their decision-making process.

User Dashboard

  • 88% of participants expressed a strong desire for a user dashboard on the website, stating that it would greatly enhance their experience by providing a centralized platform to track progress and manage accounts.
  • Specific features requested for the user dashboard included real-time updates on construction financing status (reported by 79% of participants) and personalized recommendations based on individual needs (reported by 64% of participants)

Genaral Feedback

  • Several participants (46%) provided additional suggestions for website improvements, including interactive tools for estimating construction costs and resources for first-time home buyers
  • Overall, 93% of participants indicated a willingness to engage more actively with Promitto Ltd if the website were redesigned to address their concerns and incorporate desired features.

Final Thoughts
